Festival General Information


She’ela Festival is being held at Glen Eira Town Hall - corner Hawthorn and Glen Eira Roads, Caulfield.

Several spaces will be utilised and the room allocation for each session is indicated in the program schedule.

  • Please do not wander into other areas of the venue without permission.

  • A security guard will be present throughout the day.

  • Parking is available on the premises and in the surrounding streets.

Tickets and Registration

  • On arrival please proceed to the registration desk, regardless of what time you arrive or whether you have pre-booked tickets online. Festival attendees will be provided with a wristband that should be worn at all times.

  • Tickets may be available at the door (cash or EFTPOS) unless sold out prior to the event.

  • A Sheéla Festival ticket is a full day pass granting access to all sessions (subject to room capacity).

  • Half day tickets are available for either the morning or afternoon session(s).
    Morning half day tickets grant access from 8:30am - 2:45pm (after the key note panel). 
    Afternoon half day tickets grant access from 1:00pm - 6:30pm (end of days activities)
    * Both half day passes grant access to lunch and the key note panel.

  • Booking for individual sessions is not required except for some small group workshops (see below 'capped sessions').


Program Schedule

  • Activities occur throughout the day between 8:30am and 6:30pm, however it is not essential to stay all day to reap the benefits of this event. Some program highlights you're encouraged to attend are:

    • 9:30am Opening and Keynote address

    • 2:00pm Key Note Panel

    • 6:00pm Closing Ceremony

  • Most sessions run for 45 minutes unless otherwise indicated.

  • A 15 minute break is allocated between sessions for changeover, mingling or just to chill out.

  • In most time slots there are up to 3 different sessions to choose from.

  • Refer to the Sheéla Schedule and Session Information pages for further information. 

  • A schedule and program will be provided to all ticket holders on the day.

  • The program is subject to change and will be updated on the website so please check closer to the event.

Coming and Going

  • The program is flexible to enable people to arrive at any time and stay for as long as they want (subject to the restrictions of individual tickets. eg: half day tickets.)

  • Ticket holders are welcome to attend any of the sessions throughout the day and can leave and return if necessary. Please ensure you wear your wrist-band/lanyard should you wish to leave and return.

Capped Sessions

  • Some of the workshops are more conducive to small groups and as such will have a limited number of participants.  These will be indicated in the program and a sign up sheet will be available at the Registration Desk if you have a strong preference to attend.

  • Some rooms have limited seating capacity so please arrive early to avoid disappointment.



  • Fresh food and snacks will be available to purchase throughout the day. These will be kosher and vegetarian with gluten free options available.

  • A coffee stall will be on the premises all day and there are several cafes nearby.

  • Complimentary tea, coffee and water will be available throughout the day.

What to Bring

  • Please bring a yoga mat, cushion or blanket if you are planning to do any of the following sessions:  Yoga,  Sound Shower. Refer to the sessions page for details. Other than that, just bring an open mind and a willingness to learn, experience and enjoy! 

Mobile Phones

  • Please remember to turn of your mobile devices to avoid disruption during session times.



  • She’ela volunteers will be floating around all areas throughout the day to direct you. Feel free to ask them if you require any assistance. They will be highly visible in their She'ela t-shirts.


  • A photographer will be taking photos at the event which may be used in promotional material, social media and on the website.

  • Please notify a Sheéla volunteer at the Registration desk if you do not want photos of you used for these purposes.

  • A photographer from the Jewish News may also be present for a short period of time at the event.

  • Please refrain from using your own cameras or video during session.


Disabled Access

  • Glen Eira Town Hall is accessible to people of all abilities and disabled parking is available. Please email the Sheéla Committee ( prior to the event if you have special requirements.



  • The Festival is intended for adults and it is not recommended to bring children under the age of 12 years old.

  • Infants under the age of 12 months are permitted however they must be actively supervised by a parent/carer at all times and may be asked to leave a session if they are disruptive. Please be mindful there is limited space for pram parking.
